Yep, my mate has done it to his Z18XE as we felt the standard inlet pipe was restrictive (you'll see what I mean if you look down it )
As you can see it would allow you to mount the air flow meter closer to the engine

May be something that gets looked into, Not sure how much bulkhead/bonnet clearance would be like though :/
Have today off and my morning plans have been ruined by rain, hopefully once I've done the other stuff I have to do today, i'll be able to get on with chris's car again, Want to sort the exhaust.

I'm using an Astra G X20XEV one on mine now, works well enough and no issues with clearance etc

Yep, It sounds a little shit in the vid due to the exhaust blows a bit and vids always pickup more tapping than is really going on.
Still got loads to do, sort the FPR is the next job now.

Its quick, Revs really nice (flat fly), Shame I had to keep it in second gear
Issue I've got is it won't go into reverse, first and struggles with 3rd as the linkage is hitting on the starter, Got until sat to sort it
Took it for a little test drive as you probs assumed reading above, Only a little blat up the road but its really nice.
Got a pic of it back together etc. Forgot to get a pic of the ground clearance, But its not much
I've only got a few bits left to do on it, I think Chris will be happy.
