I'll tell you what I noticed instantly when he revealed the numbers, and the few moments before he showed them.
Immediately after the draw was made (before he revealed his own prediction) he would have known he got them right before he showed the nation, he wasn't even remotely excited in his manner, yet when he revealed the correct numbers, he tried a little bit to get revved up but didn't really go for it, a few suspicious words... "There you go, a year of my life" Why did he keep enphasising the fact he'd spent a year on it? It's all very interesting, can't wait for tomorrow at 9.

is derren brown not clever enough especially in the field of psychology and knowing what people will think, choose, notice etc... to let something like this happen
i think that the "rising ball" theory as seen on youtube is actually a red herring... something that derren has deliberately done to keep your attention on those balls when in actual fact the real 'magic' is elsewhere
this could also explain why the balls are white... as derren is aware that people will be analysing this video like eff... looking for the smallest thing to give them a hint of what happened... the slight movement of the white ball against the dark background will register to your eyes easier
still... time will tell
