its not complicated its very easy to do ask feistakiddda on here its how we used to run our championships that idea was only if everyweek there ws more than 8 people if its only 8 or less you just run 1 room you need to have qualifyiing and set which type of car and what pi it needs to be other wise you wiull just get people doing a500+ but running sill horespower no handling mods and just taking everyone out it needs to have damage asweel otherwise no poiint in having a race

piece of piss to run a 2 room championship. Like Cole said 3 lap qualifying, 2 hot laps and 1 warm. Everyone hands in time, Job done we have 2 rooms set up.
On entering the race people move into the grid positions and agree on a start time on the clock and away you go.
Race 2 bottom 3 from room 1 move to room 2 and top from 3 from room 2 move to room 1.
Again set up the grid and away you go again.
Very easy and if people listen to one person who understands then it's a quick 5 minute job if that
You also need to have a pi set for the group along with BHP which people cannot exceed. This way no mega fast cars with no handling smashing people off at corners as they can't break. It needs working out or it will be a disaster trust me.

Anyway he turned in and obviously didnt expect me to be there and we both ended up going off. Hes just sent me a big long hate message, i think i might have ruined his whole life

Basically... the shorter a gear is (the higher the number), the faster the acceleration but lower top speed in each gear. The longer the gear is (the lower the number) the slower the acceleration but higher top speed.
Basically you need to balance the amount of power the car has, with how long or short the gears are.
So for example, say your car has a small amount of power (Standard Fiesta Zetec S for example), you'll notice driving it, that 4th gear is really long compared to 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
So you'll be acelerating fast in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and drop it into 4th and the car will bog down and fall out of the power band (as standard!).
So by tweaking the gears, you can make 4th gear slightly shorter (higher num), so it will top out at a slower speed, but keep you in the rev range easier when you change from 3rd to 4th and thus accel faster.
Overall, by moving the final drive up and down, you are adjusting all gears at the same time - making all shorter or longer.
Sometimes you may find with a lot of power, you spend all the time changing gears - or when you reach the top gear, you hit the limiter and can't go any faster! For that, you'll need to make all the gears longer - which is useful for just moving the final drive, and maybe moving 6th on its own even further!

also! I find if you have too much power / torque, you can sometimes make it more controllable by making the 1st / 2nd / 3rd gears a lot longer than normal! So where normally you'd maybe hit 40 mph in 1st, 70 in 2nd and 100 in 3rd.
You make it so you hit 80 in 1st, 130 in 2nd, and 150 in 3rd.
Note this is for cars where you're running like 700 bhp+
What you'll find is it won't spin up, and won't waste time changing gear all the time... it'll just hook into the gear and pull hard all the way to redline!

The Exige 240Cup or whatever it is, is an amazing car now, it's much better than the previous version. It's the only car I like to race with the cockpit view as well, we were having it around Silverstone last night.

Yes, I've had an idea copied from Northloop to run alongside our weekly league.
Basically run time trials on a track with everyone using the same car.
So say Silverstone in a Focus RS no tuning, no setups just the standard car out of the box. Easy to check the leaderboards as well so no cheating.
That way everyone can be involved in it at anytime during the day.

still think a limit on class / PI is more fun, allows more creativity.
like fastest class C around track X

No because people might not be as good at tuning it, at least it's a fair playing field if everyone is using exactly the same car, it then comes down to driver ability more than the cars ability.
