We're interested in Senderos on loan apprently but he's been offered elsewhere as well.
Unlucky
I like him, always have. He won't be facing Drogba in the SPL.

He always seems to be a bit of a liability to be honest. Perhaps another loan move is what he needs, instead of rotting on the bench or what ever. Not sure how well he did in Milan though.

Senderos is an absolutely quality defender BUT he definately suffers from some severe personality problems in terms of confidence etc.
He needs games to prove to himself that he is decent, but its nto goign to be at Arsenal obviusly. His first 6 months at Milan IIRC he was a starter and doign well before he got a month out or something via injury then struggled to get back in the team

If they get a CL place this year that will surely start to attract an even better quality of players too. Not that they haven't got good players at the moment but you know what I'm saying

Flamini will find the Emirates a somewhat negative atmosphere...

DIC would never of spent the money City have/will though - even they are small fry compared to their owner.

I'm not saying they would have spent that much money but at least we'd have a half built stadium and some money being spent on players.

Yeah, they certainly would of spent some money, and tbh we probably didnt/dont need as much spending on the team as City (given we already have a lot of top class players and is more a case of adding to the squad).
Stadium is a difficult one to call. I really dont think they'd of used their own cash to build it, no big building projects are done through own cash really, and given the banks werent lending I think they'd of struggled to find the money too.
They would certainly be underway with it now though, as the markets have opened up somewhat.

DIC isn't that run by Sheikh Mohammad?
Rumours in the horse racing world that he's in a bit of trouble financially at the moment and dubai has massive debts, isn't affecting his racing operation which is massive but possibly stopped them pushing the yanks out of liverpool

DIC is the investment are of he Dubai royal family, so basically him yeah. DIC are OK, as they own a lot of other interests outside of Dubai (Travel Lodge, etc.) and I dont think were ever investors in any Dubai property deals (he has another investment vehicle for that which got bailed out).
He certainly isnt in trouble personally, as has a personal wealth (most of which will be in cash no doubt) of around £10bn.

Missed this yesterday but we've signed Danny Simpson from Man Utd permanently on a 3 year deal.
Seems a good deal to me

Any ideas on who the £100k a week striker is James? Only thing I can see is about Van Nistelrooy but surely he's not worth that much anymore

Why would Sullivan go on about silly wages being the downfall of the club and then go and pay someone £100k a week?

because he has put 8m forwards for transfers, the bloke offered 100k a week doesnt have a transfer fee so even over 2years the only cost is 2.4million

£100k a week is £5.2m a year, £10.4m over 2yrs. and thats ignoring the other contributions the club has to pay tax wise which will be another few mil a year on top.
And you're telling me someone wanting £100k a week and is on a free wont want a signing on fee? His agent wont want a nice fee for sorting the big juicy contract (which the club pays)?
