I'm impressed it started without all of the pipes connected.

I didn't have it running very long so I didn't cause any damage. All the important bits were on.
Just need to drill two new holes for the rad to fit then all the coolant hoses will go on.
Only problem is mounting the original header tank with the battery in the original position anyone done this ?
Been messing about with my dads cavalier recently hens not much progress here's the cav
All original and only done 54k

So the other night I got cracking with my corsa c beam it started off like this
And ended up like this, I took the old bushes out aswell
Gave it a lick of trusty hammerite
Took the callipers into work to put in the de greaser bath
One calliper wouldn't wind back either so just for anyone who ever has this problem in future take the bleed screw out and it usually frees up the piston. Worked in my case anyway before pic
And after (comparison of the two) after the degreaser bath
Got some of these bad boys aswell

Got my dampers the other day so built the beam back up, quite impressed with the paint finish hasn't come out to bad
Fitted the polybushes aswell
Drilled two new holes for the uprated rad so it fits now
Few mock up shots
Removed the old brake lines they were rounded before I even started :/
Removed all the hub for painting and to replace the shafts

Cheers Joey it does what it says on the tin does hammerite
I fitted the beam today bolted straight on only problem is the c handbrake is different to the b, I'm going to file out the bracket for the c cable to fit then it's all spot on.
Mike you were right saying the handbrake cable is different
Corsa b cable "T piece"
Corsa c handbrake cable

Looking good mate, making good progress now. Do you reckon you can finish this before I finish the cav though?

Just had a read, good thread! Like the car matey it's all coming along nicely.
If the steering wheel is too tight how about a ph2 Vec GSI wheel? They look good.

Thanks Jambo appreciate positive comments.
The steering wheel is quite tight, I've had a look at the vectra gsi steering wheels and there nice ! Especially the irmscher ones with the silver trim. Going to look into them.
Got all the rear beam built up (ignore the red patches I've yet to paint those I ran out of hammerite :/
Managed to mount the handbrake cable had to make the bracket for where the handbrake comes though the car bracket slightly wider to accept the c handbrake but that was it. So it's all good to go
Just waiting on front braided lines and then the braking system is complete
