Our owners see the Asian market as being even more important to tap than the american market (for obvious reasons), we're already quite big their (hence standard chartered sponsorship) but are trying to maximise our revenue streams.

Not an issue, More a point thta buying Park Ji-Sung was purely a marketing exercise more than because hes a quality player(which i'm not saying he isn't)

That statement is completely unfounded, Park is a class footballer and there is nothing to suggest he was bought for anything other than his footballing ability. your own admission of his quality flies in the face of your argument that he was "PURELY" bought for commercial reasons [as that would suggest he had nothing else to offer], If we had kept a player like Dong Fangzhou who was massively popular in China you may have had a point.

TBH when Park was initially bought i was sceptical. Thought that he was a pr exercise but fuck me he has scored some important goals for United and looks like a good squad player for the league season and a big game performer for sure.

That's a fair point, from what i've seen they didn't even consider Hughton, O'Neills odds have been dropping since he sorted out his settlement with Villa, would of preferred either of them instead of Allardyce.
Also looks like Hines is on his way out as well, shame, I liked Hines when he played, even though he did miss a ton of chances against Wigan in the relegation game
