He didn't wave a card, but chased the ref who wasn't going to do anything about the fair tackle, shouting "2 feet" at him.

I am aware of the irony though

I think nani's reaction to that tackle tells the story and Rooney chasing down the ref screaming about 2 feet is why he was sent off. Rooney made that decision and the other man u players that started crowding the ref.

Hopefully the FA will fine them for failing to control the players like they did to us.
