I've hit 50 down a hill in Scotland when I was doing Lamds end to John O'Groats. Was not comfortable with it at all though!

When you go over the 50mph you start to twitch a bit dont you!

I did it a few times last year on one of my routes that takes you down a long descent. Looking back it was probably not the most sensible of things to do, especially now Specialized are doing a fork recall due to failing carbon steer tubes

29mph on the flat on the way to work and that's fuckin killed me. That's as fast as my current fitness and strength can do.

I wish I my big balls transferred from road cycling to mountain biking. Im still nurturing my mountain bike balls

Peter Sagan (pro that rides for Cannondale) hit 100 KPH on a descent in the Tour of Oman last week.

This is how he descends

I have done it like that a couple of times when I was in France last year and getting into that position was fine, getting out of it was a different thing all together shorts catching on the saddle and so on!

Nice clip on

Always think they look more secure then strap ons but still never trust rear mounted racks.

Think it's a clip on lol looks way stronger and more secure than the one I borrowed off a mate. Everytime I've used it I've got to where I'm going and noticed the bottom straps had come off. Also just bought a set of avid elixir 5s with hs1 rotors front and rear £112 delivered

Im pretty pleased to announce that yesterday I acquired some balls on my mountain bike. I have now conquered 2 out of the 3 steep down hill sections that I have previously pussied out of. Only reason I havent done the third is because I couldnt find it.

Not only did I overcome this, I placed 2nd on the strava segment of one of them.

Yey, new bike ordered! Will/should be delivered Saturday morning

Ordered some DMR V12's too as I'm not really a fan of SPD's. Need to pick up some kit too as I don't have a helmet or gloves but will drop into the local bike shop or Halfords for those bits me thinks.

Very nice! I keep my eye on this site for bargins - it just tracks the sale items on CRC. Normally some gloves on there though
