Something to do with sponsorship, no idea of the ins and outs but it was being linked with a possible ronaldo deal and touted that this type of deal could revolutionise the way deals are done in Europe.
From what I gather the selling club gains something out of the sponsor so can afford to sell the player for less of an initial outlay

no idea.
the 3 ive seen thus far;
Zaha to Utd for £15m, effecvtively financed by a sponsorship deal annoucned days after for £15m
Etihad's bollocks nonsense with City's new complex, already deemed not allowable for FFP
PSGs miserly wranglings with someone (maybs Emirates but I dont think so) to get around FFP, also deemed not allowed

Wasn't it something like Nike paying some of Ronaldo's wages if he went back to United because they get the benefit of him playing in a Nike sponsored Man United shirt. At the moment he wears an Adidas one at Real.

I just can't get excited about Moyes. I expected a big name and big ego to come in... I will back him though.

Trouble with Moyes is he does have a lot of the qualities Fergie has, my problem is he doesnt seem to have the same type of character, almost seems a bit boring, but then iv not exactly seen much of him, just the odd interview here and there

The comforting thing is that Fergie reportedly hand picked the new manager, and he doesnt usually get it wrong.
Apart from when he signed Bebe and Macheda

The more I think about it the more I think it's a great idea. There's no doubt that he will stick around for as long as he is welcome which is the main thing. He will get the very best out of the players, which is something SAF was the best at and out team isn't full of world class players so that's very important. It will definitely be a tough couple of seasons but I hope everyone backs Moyes because I think he has the potential to last.

Or we could have got a big name top proven manager, signed a few World Class players and dominated Europe It doesn't seem so good when you compare Moyes to that

Lauprup, Martinez and Hughes in line for Everton.... You're pissed off with Moyes, think how pissed off they'll be if they end up with Hughes

yeah that's true. It wouldn't feel right though changing manager every few seasons, so at least this way that hopefully won't happen. Even if it doesn't work out, we can still attract any manager in the world so we can try plan B then!

Problem with big name ego managers like Mourinho, Guardiola is they dont last.
Guardiola retired from Barca because he was exhausted and needed to recharge his batteries. Get a grip Pep
