nice 6am depart to york yesterday
got there unloaded the car and took it to scrutineer( ha what a joke that was, they looked in the car pulled on the seat belts and said i was ok) then went and signed on , i went in non street legal class as i was on slicks and there was only one other person in it with me in a 620bhp civic, then went and got in the que , was annoying as we were the last group to go and i didnt get my first run till 11.30, seeing as it was my first run there i took it easy as i wanted to see what the braking point was and where the turn of was, still did 97mph hrough the 1/8 then 76 mph at the 1/4, second run i went full out but 3/4 down the track the back wheels bounced of the floor and jumped over to one side at 100mph plus luckly i managed to control it but thought it was so close to spinning me , came back in and softened the rear suspension up, 3 run i had forgot to connect up the boost up button on my wheel so i was using gate pressure (1 bar) and i ran a 11.6, 4 run i was paired up against the civic, up to this point he had ran a 11.5 so was winning, went of the line like a rocket and left him for dust crossed the line a good distance more than him and was chuffed, came back to be told by everyone that i had done a 11.1 so was made up, civic owner came over to me to say well done but when i went to get my slip it said that he had done a 11.6 and i had done a 11.9 which wasent possible so was fuming , spoke to the ppl who work there and they said that they must of been set up wrong in the morning and next run he will watch it to see if the score board and the timing slip matched but a car spilt oil down the track so it was 5.30 and decided to call it a day , made up with a 11.1 at york but annoyed that i got robbed of the trophy , only had a few probs to sort out, alt belt stayed on without any probs so im well happy with that , oil cap has started to leak so will get one of them, the hole in the gearbox that you ling the gears up with poped its cap out and lost that so i need to get one and the fuel tank lid has a slight leak but thats nowt, im not trying to sort out some other little bits to try get it in for more mapping before im at Shakespeare raceway in 3 weeks , there are a few vids on facebook but i dont know how to take them of there and on here so just some pics i took, also went down with my mate in his evo but was a gutting day for him as he had gearbox problems but its a car to look out for (in some of the pics on the truck next to mine)proper built evo on a gtx42
on way back i filled the tank up and its cost me £12 to do the 4 runs and with warming it up and it left idling,so when someone asks me why i dont drive it to santa pod ill tell them that its £12 a mile,

11.1 already is good going considering how different it is this year!
I can't wait too see what it runs.
I will get to pod to watch this run when you go later in the year!
How did you find the track at York? I've never been there.

Working now, still don't understand why the sidewalls appear to be so thin.
Maybe Jed could explain in detail, guessing he must have some hefty qualifications for that shelf stacker job he's got.

Hoping to get into 9s, a decent prepped track should take a second of that time , then think I will need just a bit more power to crack 9 sec
