He predicted it before Cesc even left Barca for Arsenal as a teenager, true story.

Barca always seem to do well at knocking down valuations. Sanchez was £35m+ to start with. They got him for about £26-27m in the end?
Fabregas £45m and then get him for £30m.

You seem surprised. He has always been a little cunt.
for someone whos always been so dignified about the whole arsenal vs barca thing, he's no need to do that in the first few misn of beign a barca player

i think we can safely assume that the £5m add-ons will be triggered

At least he's not shafting you and going to join City. He did well for you, you developed him, he got his move back to his club and you got a good wedge of cash. The only 'little cunt' imo is Nasri.

Barcelona need bringing down a peg or 2
well lets see. wildly recognised that utd are the 2nd best team in europe and youve added 2 kids, ashley young and lost one of the best goalies in the world... whilts barca have added alex sanchez and cesc fabregas and now seem to have another gem in thiago
i cant see it myself
Me either but they still need sorting out
The way Real Madrid played last night suggests they have more a chance than most but the worrying thing is that Real were at home with probably their strongest 11 whereas Barca were away from home and started with out Xavi, Puyol & Pique

Do you reckon you'll be signing a 'keeper with some of this money or just 16 year attackers?

Yep but still £5-£10m off what you wanted originally? Although I don't think its that bad a deal really, he wanted to go and you still got a reasonable amount so everyone is happish.
Then again Andy Caroll for £35m or Fabregas for £30m

Nah, no real need now IMO. Chesney is decent enough and will only get better with time and other than Akinfeev, who else is out there (Given and Stekelenberg boith made moves but neither possess the qualities we missed)
As de gea proved at the w/e, young keepers will make the occasioanl mistakes (hopefulyl not in the dying minutes of a tied cup final mind...) but i think chesney will be top top drawer in the years to come. Poland #1 now also whichw ill be good for him

yep, as i said, appalling bit of business form us regardless of how much he wanted out carroll is a special case of course but modric will be the one to watch

I wasn't aware that Cesc was a boyhood liverpool fan who left us to sign for Arsenal? I don't think he's a very good striker either tbh.

I'm happy for Cesc. I understand why he wanted to go to Barca. He served us well and us him.
He's not an Arsenal legend, but he was a great player.
Also having met him many times and spoken to him on the phone where he didn't "need" to be nice I know he is a sound lad.
If Nasri goes to City he is a cunt of the highest order.

Fair enough that. Where do you think you'll be spending the money then, this young midfielder and a CB?

Neither
Hopefully, on a new CM and a new CB but now that he's ruled out Mata, I don't know who else there is to go for really. Sneijder Probs end up with some no name that no-one else has ever gone for (aka Jadson)
As for CB, he's not gonna pay c.£20m for Jagielka @ 29 and I doubt he will pay c.£17m for Cahill with 1 year left. I think we may see a deadline day fight between Arsenal and Liverpool to sign Cahill on the cheap (£10m?) before he leaves Bolton for free in Jan

In truth?
Pretty much unheard of players with potential and maybe one of Cahill/Jagielka.
No keeper needed imo. I trust Chesney.
