i would strip block get it checked then decked and honed, get the crank checked and fit new piston rings, big end bearings and main bearings, new head gasket, new oil pump,

strip the head have it pressure checked,new valve guides, re lap in the valves, new stem seals and have the head skimed, prob missed lots but thats where i would go then you know you have a mint engine, and you will get to learn how it all goes together

Just listened to the vid Dan and there is no way id chance taking it to PVS,doesn't sound like it would get you there tbh

Its a huge blow feel proper gutted for ya pal i know how much you wanted your car there this year after all the hard work you put in to her.

Bloody hell that sounds bad it does sound bottom end wise to me as noise goes louder and faster when revved drop the sump and have a look

Yea i know Mark. :/

Thing is i'm looking forward to taking it back out,making it a minter etc. Getting engine all mechanically working,all new roose black hoses,few bits painted and just a mega tidy up if it's possible. But it is gonna be alot more money thrown at it.

Like Ben said i'll learn alot about them if i rebuild this engine myself.

Proper gutted for you mate. I feel your pain with Engind trouble. Mines ready to be picked up now but the garage is shut till Monday so I can't get my fecking car well annoying
