i think the problem begins if i enjoy the whole track day concept, that i then need to consider making a car that will be more capable round bends and flat out all the time than trying to do it in a car that will be entertaining but possibly a fair bit pointless.
see what happens. not not be able to fix it yet. 2011 might involve an xe on tb;s though if i do fix it and have fun...................

I run a standard Gsi Nic, with gmaxx shocks, astra gte front spring 40 drop, nova back 60 drop, cav sri rear anti roll bar, cav slabs with tr5 dunlop moulded slicks medium-soft.
the big boys can take me on the straights, but I like to push them into mistakes round the bends or until they let you back passed.
I know you will love it Nic , because your competertive

dont need to go changing engines... but I suppose it may be more cost effective to sell yours for somethign more progressive/usable rather than ballistic
I'd still opt to keep that engine and work round it... turn the power/boost down and once you and the chassis are up to speed... wind it back up
OR.... keep your engine and throw in a stinky old disposable £100 XE to 'learn' the car/tracks with. Then once your happy with the handling and stopping swap back

that was once a release bearing
that clutch has had a hard life. worked out its lasted about 8k miles
spanker
wrote some names in reverse order of importance on the gearbox. its an "in crowd" thing. hellafeltpen style.
stopped for some food
johnny modifed the gearbox oil drainer bung as it was fecked.
