Just listened to your video, my engine sounded like that when my cam snapped. But the engine was bouncing all over the place. And it was generally more violent. Popping and banging etc. I'm guessing your valves are fooked or something

Yea sounds like pistons are hitting valves which they shouldn't.

Already looking at other engines now and trying to get a runabout. I fancy a Micra or somet Only messing.

Gonna get a GSi corsa.

Haha I'd highly recommend a micra . . . Hell it's fuel efficient lol and comedy handling. I don't get why they are a choice car to rally! Aweful motor

That's valves and pistons for sure. Valves are quite cheap though

Gonna get another engine Daz. Dad says it'll be better as were just chasing problems with this engine and will cost a fortune to get it back right. Fix one thing and it could be something else.

I'm just looking for a standard block that's had a bit of work done to it with receipts etc.

Trying to sort a runabout out. A GSi will be on the cards.
