just to clear up a few points:

The VBOA has nothing against modified cars - it has an award for the best modified car at Billing every year!

I also dont think you need to turn CS into a paid member club only as Mig, VVOC, VXON, etc etc are not just paid members only that use the site.

Ian on a different note I had some good news we are now within the VBOA as of yesterday I will give you a call a little latter when I get a minute

Would be cool to get a little window sticker to stick on your windscreen. About half the size of a tax disk or something. See a lot of Europen car clubs do that at thier shows

Finds it amusing so many NON corsa owners are inputting..... And arguing... Don't you have your own Forums???

VXLSCC was moderated just right. It kept the kids in their prams who abused the system. I only stopped being a member due to the South East Region orgenisors taking on other things and resigned from the club orgenisation.

Without those orgenisors, the shows/meets just didn't seem as good. Requires a lot of effort though.

Again, i've mearly read my posts page..

I still own a Corsa though. When did he sell his?

And i contributed enough over the years arranging sh1t to cover all my membership money.. Which was always my argument to paying...

I wouldn't pay now, but would have paid if i'd have got something for my money (not just free web hosting).

Look at the other clubs, newsletters, silly tat, but only a few pund more. IMO.

Nope. Its just 1 show. I'd rather re-join one of the official clubs as you get other perks as well as entry.

As i've said, it would need to be an official club like with ideas i've mentioned, or closer to that of the other clubs.

But nope, i'd never join anyway due to to personnal reasons.

Reason why I joined VxlSCC, the discounts and the invites I get are worth the signing on fee.

I'm assuming you mean Trade Club for the discount - what invites do you mean?

VBOA Heritage day I know was open to VxlSCC members, are there others?

the only thing you wont get will be the price lists so you will only know when you get to the dealership whats available and whats not...

also some dealerships can be right PITA's in regards to trade cards from club members...

My old VPCC (Now Vxlscc) got me £25 off my irmscher rear bumper from Vauxhall. Was £225 i think and £250 retail...

Thats £5 over my membership in savings alone

Also they had a Triple 888 day out, plus local events etc..

We would be able to offer trade club in the same way though Daimo? Means you would be £12.50 up not a fiver.

Triple Eight was what - factory visit?

I disagree, but that's off topic.

Ian, IIRC, the triple8 visit was a tour, like you get in the heritage centre, with someone showing you how they prepped the btcc cars and stuff.

Like the CS visit to Ellesmere Port Vauxhall factory then, or the AS visit to VXR Performance Centre?

Standard stuff, we can do that. I'm still not clear how VxlSCC is better value when its more expensive and admittedly does more presently, but will be on the same par if we are accepted?

Unless you think in spite of VBOA membership CS still won't be granted access to the same number of things?

Yeah, that sort of stuff.

You get a keyring, and a bi-monthly magazine with the SCC, alledgedly. (obviously making it better value )
