Cheers for all the comments guys.

Jonesy, thanks mate .. possibly the bug lives in rushden but is off the road atm due to being a complete rust bucket how unfortunate for hayley

the tyres are 185/45's so no stretch on the wheels but a good fitting tyre & i may go another 20mm lower at the front .. it shall have to wait till after mot in a couple of weeks.
as for the rubstrips i would like to remove them but it depends on the paint underneath if its pretty bad some post 97 ones will be fitted, along with post 97 gm mudflaps on the rear.

Cheers for the photoshop mk4_boy looks good, nut due to my job the car needs to stay practical

more photos from yesterdays trip out to ultimate dubs in a mo

Looks good Danny, better in the flesh imo. Shame you lost one of the centre caps.
I think if you lower the front a few more mm it will be just right
Smooth petrol cap and de-rub strips will look good i recon!

just spent this morning taking the rubstrips off the car, only issue i have is the drivers door has a white mark where the strip was .. but the rest are fine is there anyway of sorting this without re-spraying it?

wheels look great.

i got told recently, that that white mark is condensation so if you use a heat gun (not to close) to warm it up it should disapear

awesome looking 5 door!!!!!

Same happened to my old corsa when i removed my side strips but it was alot worse then that. Not even a body shop could remove it without having it resprayed - something to do with the laquer iirc.

Got the strips painted then placed back over the top

Thanks guys, Yeah shame i didn't have a word with ya mate .. like you say crap weather & out on the beer the night before makes me quite unsociable

right so at 8am this morning the corsa was an mot fail. while it was up on the ramps me and the ol man decided to start cutting & welding, which to tell you the truth was a bit daunting at first .. as of now she curently has new plates welded in on the chasis legs, the inner arch and sill's have been patched & rear drums adjusted just got to underseal to protect it & change the rocker gasket .. re-test in an hours time.

I'll put a few photos of the repairs up asap

cheers guys.
Just wound the front end down -20mm on the coilovers i couldn't do this before due to the flaps and the sxi wheels catching the coils. As the BBS's are a low offset its given me a lot more clearance.
Also today i've just started to smooth the petrol flap.. currently waiting for the filler to set

Yeah glad i got the mot done, was a bloody good job my dad knows what he's doing when it comes to welding lol i'd have been stuffed without him.
Thanks Shaun, it does look a lot cleaner now .. less tat stuck on it an all

Today i finished smoothing & spraying the petrol flap, its a nice touch imo but im not happy with it at all.. had to re-paint it 3 times today due to the paint reacting .. once i'd finally got a nice finish & offered it up .. it turns out the paint is a slightly darker shade
