My car's running crap, not to mention I can't afford the track day really.
If I was to 'do' the track day.
I'd be looking at £155-£195 for the track day cost.
£40 petrol.
Getting my car working properly... (Lambda £140), getting my car track worthy... (I think I have a collapsed left strut or it's not properly put together... ££ ), then I wanted to get track tyres before doing any more track days this year - so £200 - £300 plus cost of wheels to put tyres on, then I need a fixed mount for my camera another say £40-£50.
IF I was to do Brands hatch... I'd be looking at - at least £500-£600 ish at the mo, which after paying out for tax, insurance, heater matrix and coil pack (not to mention everything else in the last few months) = Big blow to bank account.
'Yes ... I could just take my car out on track how it is now' ... but in my opinion that'd be a wasted £150-£195 as it won't be enjoyable how my car is now.
I'd still like to, but can't really feasibly do it. My car 'may' be ready for April, but my bank's not ready to pay for it all now.
lamba £140 - think your being mugged off mate, tried pattern parts, £30!
as for track day tyres, how seriously are you taking this? its abit of fun not the final race of the french racing series!
as for camera..........
just do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do enough track days already. I'm already planning to do quite a few track days this year, including a trip to nurburg in summer, so track tyres are ideally for then. Same with getting my car properly sorted and camera gear. You may just be going out on track 'for a laugh', a 'one off' - I want to get my car ready to survive quite a few track days this year - so there's no need for me to rush and jump at the first track day of the year when my car is in no state to be out on track at this current moment.
I've not seen a proper lambda for £30, I've seen universal dodgy jobbies for around £50-£60? but universal ones

interesting... euro car parts £42 ... Might try one from them, although probably not the 'genuine part' - it might be alright?
if I can get the car running I'll be more tempted to call for track day... whats the current price?

at the end of the day it gives out oxygyen readings, its not that techincal so a pattern part should be okay
