Its been a bit quiet here just recently as there hasnt been a huge amount of activity happening with the car.... until now!!

The new engine is currently at JRE Racing Engines in Plymouth, having a complete rebuild, with Lightened and Balanced bottom end, ARP Rod Bolts, Bent Valves replaced, and a set of JRE Mild Cams to open her up a bit. The engine should be back with me by Christmas, so I know what my time off over christmas will be spent doing!! Oh....and changing the colour scheme slightly.

A friend of mine has just got his new 1400 engine from JRE, pushing out 188bhp!! Yay.

Watch this space............

why mild cams? just so you don't need solid lifters and new pistons? extra cost basically.

Yes basically! John at JRE quoted me £3250 to put Steel Rods, Forged Pistons and Verniers in the engine, which would obviously allow harsher cams, but i cant afford that at the moment!!!

evans_corsab: Nope, Nova is still in its sorry state, but is up for sale though!!

Well, just been over a close friend of mines, to see his new corsa he has been building, and here it is:

When its finished, he's aiming for 700kg and about 200bhp from the 1400 engine. Doors are fibreglass, so too is the bonnet, boot, bumpers and arches and as you can see from inside the rear, its had a flat floor fitted, and new inner arches fabricated. The rear is going to be all independent suspension and will also be running a rear diffuser! Should be good!!

My uncle has done all the fabrication on the shell, and currently he's got another Corsa B in the workshop which is having a Honda S2000 mounted in the front, but running Rear wheel drive on Subaru Impreza running gear!! If I can get some photos, I will!! It looks schhhhhweeeet!!

My new engine is expected to be finished next week, so will update when I get some more progress done!

Ben

Had the call from my engine builder yesterday and my engine is now ready. Going to pick it up on Monday so will hopefully have loads of pics then, but this is just a photo I have been sent from JRE.
