Andy honestly I just gave it a quick wipe over with a cloth and a little spray of quick detailer on the worst bits If you think thats shiny you should see it all polished up and waxed lol
Jamie, the mark on the driver side door has been there since I got it It had a dent in it and they bloke that had it before me filled and sprayed it but the colour match isnt good. Got a mint d/s white door in my garden though which im planning to fit next year when it warms up a bit

Thanks guys. Means a lot
A month or so back i dropped my headunit on the floor and knackered it...doh! had a tape player in it since then lol which just didnt cut it. So for christmas I got a new one, Pioneer DEH6000UB. Really pleased with it so far Great bit of kit
Here a couple of pics after I gave it a wash yesterday
My mum and dad have been asking me lately what I want for my 18th in a months time. Always fancied a private plate so got hunting on the dvla site! Found one I wanted so my parents have just bought it for me Wont be transfered until my birthday though
2009 Plans So Far
- Richbrook black slant top gear knob
- Alcantara gear & handbrake gaiters
- Possibly a single wiper conversion
- Transfer my private plate onto it
- Source the remaining black plastics for the interior
- GM Wind Deflectors
- Alloy Wheel Refurb
- Bonnet Respray
- Engine Conversion? Not 100% decided on this as yet. Im currently trying to decide whether to save some money to fit either a 1.4 16v or 1.6 16v or save the money towards a new car for when i'm 19 if thats what i want to do Its something I'd love to do to it in the summer as it would really complete the car. But whats holding me back is would it be worth it if I decide i want a new car 6 months later? We'll see anyway. got plenty of time to make my mind up
More updates coming soon!

I have mate yes. That would be the ideal thing to do but white sports are like rocking horse shit and mint ones are even rarer. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for one though

Love it mate, its still looks damn clean and mint everytime pictures are posted up, just wish my 1.0 was in the same condition as it used to be
I had similar plans to you with a 1.6 going into my 1.0. but after owning a c20let ive grown an addiction to them, but still have a soft spot for the smallblocks.
My new sport is a 1.4 16v and I drove it for a couple of weeks and must say it was nice to have a bit more power, but if you where going down the conversion route I would move onto the 1.6 as its a more worth while conversion with more power etc.
Is it worth considering a redtop at a later date?, thinking about it jumping from a 1.0 to a 2.0 is a big jump But you get used to it after a while.
Looking good dude

Thanks everyone for your comments
Greenthing, The original plan was to redtop towards the end of next year ready for when I turn 19 but when I sat down and worked out all the costs I dont think I can afford it
a x14xe or x16xe is something I could afford to do though The main reason I thought about a 1.4 was because the insurance would be cheaper and to be fair it would probably be more than quick enough for me. I've spoke to my dad about it and hes willing to help me do the conversion. There a X14xe engine on ebay at the minute which pretty local to me...so tempted lol
Got a massive spend coming soon though. Tax, MOT and insurance are all up at the end of January Good news is my insurance is going to be half what I paid this year so i'm chuffed!

1.6 would be an ideal conversion
but 1.4 is cheaper all round and is plenty quick enough
cheaper tax, cheaper insurance and plenty of power for its size
