If you want looks just get the setup i have on mine.

Mondeo MK3 Calipers, ST170 Discs as they are 300mm and 4 stud whereas the Mondeo MK3 discs are 5 stud.

You will also want braided hoses.

You cant be running 4 Pots on the front with standard Drums on the rear

So get a fiesta ST rear beam off eBay (about £300) and bang it on! (+ ST Handbrake cable)!

I know I know I need rear discs, can get the lot for about £250 is the prices I've been seeing. It really lets the car down (IMO) having rear drums especially with motorsport wheels.

Might look into that setup Doldy Would it go over 16's?

Sweet. Cause if I want to put the Zetec S wheels on for whatever reason that'd be a pain.

Yep, they go over 15's!

We put the 300's on my mates mk5 zs with standard zs mk5 15's

We did have to grind down about 3mm from the corner edges of the caliper but fits nicely now

Any particularly model of Mondeo? I'm looking for some for the Puma but not too sure what to buy.

ST ENGINE!!

Bad idea graham May aswel buy an ST!

Any MK3 Mondeo Ian, they all have 300mm discs (5stud). They will fit on the Puma too as they have the same fitments as a Mk5 fiesta dont they? And the same upgrade fits those.

As said, Fiesta ST

I never intended to take this route with the car, but as you say, they don't do one in my colour so bonus!

It's not gonna be an ordinary ST engine anyway, gotta save for a bit and sort me out a run around for work!

Some decent pics with the temporary wheels, hopefully get my MO's back this week in time for Trax!

Then finished work early last night so took some random snaps, could have spent all night taking pictures as it's awesome for locations but only took a few

Agree with the above as the ST will have a better trim level more toys and better geometry out of the box and they are dirt cheap now.

Also not that hard to get it up to the ST185 spec with cossie inlet and remap.

Its good you are having a go at a conversion though

Mine has alot of the options but I know what you are saying, if I was just putting the ST engine then maybe I would chop it in for an ST, but I'm completely changing the engine and power so just keeping mine, anybody in the know about the colours of Fiestas won't expect it to be as quick as it hopefully will be!

And hopefully getting these bad boys:

Fiat Coupe 4 Pot Brembos (Same as Focus RS, without Ford prices) with 324 x 28 discs almost new. Needs pads but suits me as can buy pads I want. Oh & the brackets so they fit my car. Monsters.

Just bartering a price with the fella at the moment.

Yeah I will do, trying to source a rear beam for not so silly money! Apparently you can use a drum rear beam and just weld a 3cm piece of steel along it and it'll be stronger than the ST one, but by the time you've bought discs and calipers etc I don't think it's much cheaper, so just gonna source an ST one.

Yeah I am mate, got a list of things to sort but I am getting there nice and early to book track time

Ill be on the ZSOC stand and TRAX so make sure you come and say hello! We are due to arrive about 8am as have a massive convoy!

Better off just buying an ST rear beam off eBay, think i paid £250 and that included the handbrake cable.

Ok cool, didn't realise you were on ZSOC either! We are aiming for 7:30, leaving at 5:45 from Dartford Tolls! Should be a few of us too.

Yeah that's the price I was thinking, was hoping to try and bag one on the cheap if I waited for the moment

I was going to ask the same thing. I had 4 pots on my last rallye with a drum rear, no problem.

Think about it, running all that stopping power on the front and nothing at all hardly on the rear... I would fancy that all!

It would snake like a bitch on hard braking, mine is bad enough with the ST rear discs and 300mm front brake setup!

The 4 pots arent insane, my car felt adequately stable under hard braking.
