Its looking like Comp VLMs.
Just trying to sort out suspension. I did agree with a guy on Ebay to end early and get those fitted but he's swerving me a bit. Not sure he appreciated the cheeky offer.
If that isn't done that'll delay putting the front end back together.
Tomorrows jobs -
Exhaust - old bolts drilled out and new ones installed. Centre and back sections ready to be fitted. CHECK
Clip down brake pipes and tighten the flexis. CHECK
Plasma the doors, install windows (either recovered from the green car or new, not sure yet), install locks.
Secure the boot but keep the solenoid release. CHECK
Make a passenger seat subframe. CHECK
Install seats and harnesses. CHECK

Nope that guy on Ebay at the moment is just selling lowered springs.
I replied to the coilover guy asking him whether he was lying and he didn't reply. Good job really, they won't fit the silver car because the rear damper uses the later type of fixing and his was the earlier one. The green car is earlier.
Do need to sort something though.CHECK - springs bought

mmm, nice work ian.
Open the bonnet, remove the box attached to the bonnet.
Open the airbox, remove the box in the airbox (drill, file, BFI will do)
Also check the pipes on and around the inlet manifold. They WILL collapse, reducing engine power

Pete, what is that box attached to the bonnet for? It's puzzling me.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

That's a patented Ste W Fabribations racing subframe, uses the original seat mounts so you don't have to do any welding to the car.

OMP Eco. I wouldn't want to do too many miles but they were cheap
They're framed with bar instead of being a shell type. I think the latter would have the edge on comfort.
