Okay so done a few more bits since my last update .
First of all my girlfriend helped me out massivley by removing the remainding sound deadening in the rear.
Also my friend simontw gave me some polybushes he had so the car is polybushed now, not much to do now other than paint the rear, set the tracking/camber , wire the horn in put my cesaros on and buy a new battery so its all looking good, hoping to get everything done this weekend ready for an mot next week so anyway pictures !
so this is the old bush :/

and being fitted ....

and then .....

also had this box of goodies to fit ...

and all fitted ......

so the sound deadening my girlfriend spent along time removing it all cant thank her enough, she used white spirit to remove most of it ....

used this technique

i finished it off, might do some more this weekend though ..

and some random photos never can help myself..

also forgot to add that ive fitted the rear lights..

and the wipers and (waiting for my flatblade wipers to come)

thats all for now probably missed a few bits
thanks for looking G

Those front tie bar bushes do they not come in 2 pieces?

I think the early tie bar brackets use a two piece bush, the laters ones have that press in type.

Was easier to just press them out
Got my new plates today ordered them at 4:30 yesterday and they arrived today only £9.99 from eBay bargain.
All being well tomorrow plates will be fitted, horn will be wired in, tracking and camber will be sorted and the rear will be painted. If all goes to plan it will be mot"d on wednesday. Forgot to mention aswell that the remaining glue from the bump strips etc will have gone.
Update tomorrow

The glue from the bump strips won't have gone. I can't find my caramel wheel. My garage is full of stuff from the living room so I'm presuming its tucked away in a box somewhere.

Get sam to pick it off! Its cosmetic so not a big worry at the moment. We will just get it roadworthy first for the MOT

There should have been two large washers and tubes with those bushes. I can't see the new washers used. Have you installed the tube inside the bush as they aren't there on this picture
