I love Messi, but you are right Tommy, that was a brilliant goal, and it's hardly been mentioned at all

If messi had done this the media would be going nuts imo.

If I was Theo i'd have handed it over if the club allowed it. Theo not fit to wear it anyway.

Turns out it's not just normal blokes who hate ITVs coverage of the football...

From the guardian...

"If ITV did not exist, you would have to make them up. First there was Andy Townsend's tactics truck, although the tactics were at least preferable to the tic tacs. Then there was the time they showed a Hyundai advert during England's best moment at the 2010 World Cup, the continued employment of Townsend and, occasionally, FA Cup highlights that look as if they have been filmed by a fan in the crowd. However recently there had been a tentative suggestion that they were starting to get their act together, upping their game in the studio, with Roy Keane's pure disdain for the general concept of humanity particularly watchable, and also on the pitch, where they have managed to stop putting on adverts as goals are scored.

It was too good to last, however, and this weekend they were back to their bumbling best during Peterborough's home tie against Sunderland. As the game kicked off, viewers were left bemused as they were greeted by crowd noise and not much else, as Peter Drury and Jim Beglin were silenced in the commentary box for the opening eight minutes. When the sound did return, Drury, no doubt fuming, was forced to begin with an apology. The thing is, their coverage is so laughable that sometimes all you can do is … well, laugh. With them. The gaffes are almost approaching national treasure status now, as people gather round the television and wonder just what ITV will come up with this time. Who needs smooth professionalism when endearing chaos is on offer instead?"

true fans m8.

old bloke in work will be smiling from ear to ear today as he's a united fan (didn't say anything last week about the 2 defeats).

then you asked him if he watched the game and he says the same thing every time:

'don't watch the games, just enjoy the results'

thats you imo steve.

Tbf all this not a proper fan if you don't go is bollocks. I only go to 3/4 games a season. Reason being Emirates is 250 miles away. Round trip and ticket would be about £200 and at weekends i'd rather spend time with my kids. Could nearly buy a Wigan ST for that money too.

Once Alfie's old enough to come to games with me i'll be down Emirates regularly tbh.

No coincidence that Nath/JJ who are regulars at their club support teams in lower divisions who's tickets are £5 a game?

FYI Luton is £18 a ticket. Fulham and Wigan are cheaper. And I've seen Luton in the top flight.
