Not trying to sound funny here but....
The lad is used to running a 280 horse octavia VRS, just spend an absolute shed load on rebuilding the gearbox, loads of new bits new mani etc etc...
Always built his own cars has a good mechanical knowledge, coupled with mine its an excellent mechanical knowledge.
Servicing would all be done in house at my garage, which may as well be Lee's too tbh.
People should ask questions such as will you be doing your own servicing, what sort of power levels will you expect to be running etc etc...
Instead of being on a "corsa site" where the majority of corsas are cheap as chips to run, insure, maintain. Then tell another lad who already runs a decent performance car with proper uprated bits on how if he has to ask how much they are to run he cant afford one.

I think he makes a fairly valid point, you don't always have to care about resale.
Particularly if the car is a bit older or you want to save money on the work.
