Thanks again,i deserve a rest so i'm watching football with a tinny. Oh ah it is,pulls really well. I've got a couple of vids but they take ages to upload.

no hanging about dan and for being done on the drive, i should have fitted my engine that way i left gearbox in took ages to line up glad uve got it back running

Irm i'm not sure if i did,he went for a ice cream,sat in your car,took pictures and lost a manifold bolt... no he didn't do owt.

Back when I was your age Dan, (a lot of years ago:lol. bought a GSI cav with 27,000 on and it
sounded like yours but the SRI cav with coil pack was a lot quieter

Really pleased to hear it's all up and running fine Dan & im sure most redtops out there tap a little so wouldn't worry about it i think is just vauxhall engines in general even my mk5 astra 1.6T has a very faint tap.
