daytime with rest of car washed a bit pics of the £20 rattle can sideskirts. aint that bad of a match from a can. theyre a bit patchy and cloudy but whatever. its low enough down on car so im happy enough indeed.



high temp paint. them rear drums must have got a bit hot then.

hopefully be able to make a start on doing the rear disc beam this week.

its still on the front of the car and attached to the bumper. completely readable etc etc. dont see why it would have issues. been like that for about 4 years.

How come your not fitting the rear beam of an astra that has disks already? Thought it was a straight swap?

Wouldnt mind fitting rear disks to mine at some point.

Skirts look like a good match!

I always thought a MK3 Astra rear beam was a straight swap? Sure iv seen it mentioned loads of times on here before?

got some rear disc hubs off c2vxl from here. cheers owen for them. thought it would be rude not to go and sort the beam out.

just needs some wire brushing to clean rust and some black hammerite on it, then to remove gsi arb and fit that, then fit the whiteline arb also.

lovely hour or so spent on a thursday night in -3 temperatures. hope to fit it saturday depending on the painting process.

its all good. couriers can be a twat at times. hopefully have the beam fitted tomorrow and enjoy hideous amounts of locking up from the rear until i re pipe it and fit bias valve and line lock that is.

should of got astra g ones, like me

never had a problem with mine locking up, just cable tied rear bias valve up

most expensive bit for me was the lmf kit

got a rear beam for £75, hand brake cables £35

and got new discs and pads

found mine stopped alot better, without the rear going light under heavy braking
