Skyfall 7/10
Enjoyed it. Wasn't as much sexy time as I was expecting from a bond film.

Battleship - 8/10.

Massively ''america, fuck yeah'' but also pretty good, if you like stuff blowing up.

Dog soldiers - 0/10.

Where do I begin? Awful british movie that had decent reviews on imdb. Wish I never wasted my time watching it.

Went to see Mama last night. Very jumpy, good storyline. Really enjoyed it! Nearly lost all circulation to my hand though thanks to my girlfriends tight grip. 8/10.

Wreck it Ralph - 7/10 - Did think it was hyped up a little but generally a decent watch.

Killing Them Softly - 8/10 - Superb characters and storyline is pretty decent.

We Bought a Zoo - 7/10 - Good film all around, certainly worth a watch.

Holy shit Jon!

It is brilliant isn't it. Saw it at the cinema. Almost can't believe it's that old. Sounds SO long ago.

Can't watch it now though. I've never even taken the cellophane off of my copy.

The dead baby scene just crucifies me every time. It really is too much and should have been deleted from the film as far as i'm concerned.

Dirty Dancing - 4/10

I've always been a bit hard on my wife for listing this as her favourite film, but also admitted to never actually having seen it.
Tonight I watched it with an open mind as I honestly didn't know what to expect.
It's terrible.
To my knowledge there's never been a more pathetic female lead in any film, ever. She has absolutely no backbone.
How this movie came out in the late 80's and was a hit among women trying to prove their gender as strong and individual as the opposite is beyond me.
The climax of the film sees our hero, Johnny, the poor lost soul who's struggling with his economy because he'd much rather dance all day than take an honest job his dad has lined up for him, swoop in and drag our pathetic heroine, Baby, out of her fathers claws uttering the famous line "Nobody puts Baby in a corner".
Supposedly this is an act of freeing Baby from her fathers leash, but, and this is the real irony, she then ends up quite literally following Johnny's lead, thus proving once and for all that she is indeed weak and completely incapable of making any type of decision, without a man holding her hand.
The cinematography was good.
