Yeah........... got my pistons tonight! they are ace
proper pistons, teflon coated slipper jobbies, i believe this means i can fry eggs on it and then wipe them clean....
nice pockets and made to be a nice high compression
rods will be with me on wednesday!
this means my bottom end can be built and fitted asap!
pistons cam with new rings and some gugeon pins. all good!
im starting to get more and more excited

nothing stopping me doing it now, just need to decide if i can afford a super spec head or just new cams, springs and solid lifters.....
longest part is waiting for parts, i dont have the ability to buy everything in one go, but so far its been good and i havnt spent anywhere near as much as i thought i would, i need to sort my gear box out tho. new final drive to fit, got all the bits, just need to do it

monster, think the run in period may be avoided, the way this engine will wear 1000 miles will be a major part of its life lol!
matt, they are meant to be really ace pistons, not cheap aswell, which i have learnt bodes well!

Might last longer than u think if it lasted 11k before with standard internals, it should last alot longer now TBH

the bottom end will be sound, its the head that may require alot of attention.
then again im not going ot be using it as an everyday car like i used to.

im tempted to have a window fitted to the sump and the side of the block, this way people can see the crank, rods and pistons!
