You've been to the Ring again!!! Barstool How did Colin get on.
Its going to be touch and go if it'll be MOT'd by PV so it might have to be trailered.... Its booked in to be mapped at STEALTH the day before... Arghhhhhh

Seriously your cars are fooking mental! Really top work going on. Really good read. Whats the bumper like on the van, is there any strength to it with that much chopping?
Haha, no the bumpers not finished yet... needs some more strengthening because it moves about a bit... Plus the intercooler ends need sorting as it wouldn't pass an MOT like that.

There are some fantastic projects going on at yours Neil Loving your car... Though tell your mate to sort his FMIC out It's gonna get fucked like that, surely?
Would you mind telling me where those engine mounts came from too that you're using? I can't stand the sloppy engine mounts they use on standard cars, the engine flops all over the place and I would like to get something a bit more secure for my Corsa

Hi Ed,
I could say the same about your setup when I collect the parts I brought of Matt!!! You had some nice cars lieing about
Sure the engine mounts are from Chris Astley
http://www.chrisastleymotorsport.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=2885&osCsid=fe3d19cf987df5464314c3d591441b1f
I had a similar setup on my old Nova (but made by TAS) which made a hell of a difference to how the car drove!!! The torque is instant! So hopefully these will also help this car as I can't stand an Engine that tilts lots under load.
A cheap fix if people can't afford the mounts is just to fill the original mounts with a decent Sealant like Stickoflex. This does a very good job of stiffening the mounts without spending lots of wedge.

Cheers for the info Neil, think that it's probably worth spending the cash in the long run. I do have a bick heavy 2.0 sitting on the same rubbers that the old 1.2 8v beast was sitting on. Think it's time to save up

Great update, red one looks good, white one would have been better hiding the intercooler imo

Sorry guys.... a total lack of updates on my part due to the massive of work thats been going on to get the car ready for PVS... Which im sure most of you will realise by now it didn't make it to
Update coming soon.
To cut a long story short we got the car finished.... got it up to the rolling road on the saturday to have it mapped and the dam thing wouldn't start. Hence No show at PVS. And the White Van.... the owner (ben) was on holiday all last week so couldn't get that finished in time as well. Doh!!!
