, I didn't quite realise how small it was until I took out, I thought if it wasn't so heavy I could put it in my pocket

No progress on the engine side of things as of yet, been to lazy , going to get stuck in this week and get the bay ready.

Do have a little bit of an update, sort off. My dad pulled a Corsa in to work about 2 weeks ago for no tax or insurance, I think its a week the lad has left to claim it or it goes for scrap, which means I can get stripping before it gets crushed

The car in question,

Yea it would be, I would get the whole car for the same price as the last one, it has a 2.0 8v in it too but all I want off it is the GSi kit and mirrors tbh, would get that lot for about £20 probably.

I think front bumper and mirrors are the only thng that worth salvaging from that piece of crap.

Yea it will look nice, but it also looked nice with the black plastic bumpers I thought.

Engine swap is going slow , still need to fit the new bits to the engine, spent a few hours today tidying the bay up, few more tomorrow and the bay will be ready at least then I'll start on the engine. Haven't been bothered lately tbh.

Thats all I want tbh, and the arches. Won't cost me anything which is a bonus

I'll tell him to keep an eye out mate, they pull Corsas in on a daily basis but usually when there kitted up the owners tend to want them back so tax and insure them, its looking like the owner of this one won't be showing though

I'd gladly let someone else come and do a bit if they wanted too

Took a few snaps today of what I've done (not much ), just all cleaning and sorting out rust tbh. Still need to paint up the lower arms and a few other bits.

OS arch

NS arch

Engine bay, still got a bit to do but should be finished tomorrow

Sorted the loom out too, cut the ECU plug off and pulled them through into the footwell ready for wiring up the engine

And thats it for now , hoping to refurbish the engine this weekend then get it fitted

Another boring update, done some more tidying and cleaning today, engine bay is now finished , could probably do better but its clean enough for me.

Done the underside of the bonnet too

And painted the lower arms black

Tomorrow I intend on cleaning the engine and gearbox then painting it, weekend will be fitting the new engine parts then the following weekend will be time for fitting Can't wait
