I think it's because alot of people pre order it due to not wanting to go out at 10pm waiting around for hours in the cold. And rockstar defiantly have a point some people had there hand's on the game 5 days before, and they were releasing videos and images of very poor quality.
I think the sadest part is that the game is already our there to download in Xbox, which just aids developers to potentially push DRM in the future. One of the reasons in going over to Sony next gen.

Its 32 quid in tesco tomorrow if you buy a points card, guessing it'll be £20 worth of Xbox or PSN points.

I managed to pick up gta iv from zavvi when that hit the stores. Is it tomorrow they can be bought from the shops or today?

I'd be amazed if its sold out anywhere tbh. I'm guessing sainsburys will have it at 30 quid if you do shopping there or something similar

Every single time there are people raging because their pre orders don't arrive first, that's why I never bother.
My mate pre ordered Skyrim for £42, didn't turn up until he got home on the day, I walked into Tesco on the day and got it for £39, so I got it before him and cheaper for not being a weirdo basically

Well I hadnt even planned on buying this... but out of work recoverying from shoulder surgery and said I will go into tesco and have a look...
mooched around for 20 minutes, realised I wasnt pushed and turned to leave... queue of 50 odd people had "popped up" behind me... so had to stay at that rate.
6005mb of 8486mb installed onto my ps3 and counting...
