I'm tempted to re activate my Facebook just to see the amount of United fans crying!! Wonder what the odds are off United not winning a trophy this season?

I'm not complaining about the result etc, but filing disciplinary proceeding for not fulfilling media obligations is ridiculous.

Not its not. He should get fined all the time in England, but he's above the FA so gets away with it.

He's obligated to do press work after matches, if he doesn't he gets fined. Simple.

You must have missed it when he got fined a few weeks ago for the rant at the linesman in the spurs game

Ditto with the "red card". Because its Man United its the world greatest scandal Get over it and move on. RVP's red v Barca in 2011 was more of an injustice.

What's that got to do with him not doing interviews after the match with certain outlets?

You said he should get fined all the time but he gets away with it because hes above the FA.

He only recently got fined, so that nullifies that argument straight away

Pretty sure Cavey is talking about the spat he had with the BBC.

Indeed, fair enough, he has received one fine in his time in charge of United.

But yes, I was referring to the fact that he constantly refused to talk to the BBC because they aired a story he didn't like, yet never gets fined for it.

He got fined every time. There was a feature about it.

A Man United spokesman said they would continue to pay the fines and that Mike Phelan was always available to talk to the BBC,

Then there was the feature that the BBC and Fergie had cleared the air and he was willing to resume interviews with them. Which he has being doing on MOTD.

Well in that case I withdraw my statement.

However, it is right for Uefa to punish them too unfortunatepy

Not according to the guardian...

"The rule was introduced at the start of last season, specifically to tackle Ferguson, after complaints from the BBC that their financial commitment to the league was so great that they had every right to speak to the manager of the biggest club.

Ferguson immediately made it clear he would not comply, no matter how much he would be fined. The tariff was initially set at £1,000 per match, escalating as the season went on. By now, it could feasibly have been more than £100,000.

As it turned out, Ferguson was not fined a penny because, before the Premier League had decided the exact structure, the BBC asked them to delay the punishments, with Thompson indicating he would become personally involved if a meeting could be set up."

Before you liked football, Fergie never gave interviews to the BBC. Got fined every week for it.

Neither me or Andy have said anything more about the red card. Although you are right, it is the world's greatest scandal.
