MGS will be released for the Xbone as well, though.

Not really. Just been trying to gather an understanding from some tech savvy forum users and redditors.
Digital Foundry seems to agree with your approach:

Still no word from Microsoft on this it seems.

Graphics aside, Forza 5 is shit.
There is about 3 tracks and 28 cars meaning career mode becomes boring after 10 minutes. Doing the same tracks every time but with a slightly better car each time doesnt make up for the things theyve missed out.
This is coming from someone who has more or less finished the previous forzas games.
Fair enough they can add tracks and cars as free DLC but that wont change the career mode.

The DLC isn't free, though. The whole concept behind Forza 5 is to set it up as a Free2Play, where most things are purchased with micro transactions or unlocked through grinding, but in stead of being free, the game sells at full retail.
Polyphony are doing more or less exactly the same with GT6 and it's just a horrible, horrible trend.

With the previous games the DLC has only cost if a new car or track has been added which hasnt featured in the game before. If theyre going to be doing that with cars and tracks we've had before and still sell half a game at full price they can fuck right off.

I hate paid for DLC, particularly when it's a shortcut to "grinded" content.
"Expansion Packs" are an acceptable charge, signified by a fair amount of content - but not adding cars/weapons/maps/levels/tracks one at a time.
Gaming needs to move to a subscription basis, make games free or (really) cheap and then charge £X per month, with stuff like XBL rolled into that charge.
That way game developers have got a reason to want to keep people playing, and ultimately they will end up with more cash and the gamers end up with a good stream of new content to keep them subscribing.
Currently, once they've got their £45 or whatever - you're dead to them. Especially if you buy your way through three-four months worth of "progress" and finish with the game earlier.
You'll never find paid for "shortcuts" in subscription based games such as WoW.

Everything in this world is becoming a rip off, everyone is just greedy and out to make as much money as possible.
I probably won't ever buy a new xbox or Ps, fcuk em.

First impressions of the Xbone are pretty good, the OS is excellent infact.
Only thing stopping me from using the Skybox pass-through functionality is my old sky box which will only output dolby digital on optical/coax and not HDMI.
Played some Forza last night, map selection does indeed seem limited but the visuals are stunning. I've been playing F4 right up until this week on the 360 and it's amazing how they're still improving so much.
Drove a car with a carbon bonnet, and the bonnet reflections were seriously impressive, distracting but impressive.
BF4 tonight, apparently buggy as hell but looking forward to it regardless.

Yes but didnt really like it purely by the way the character moved, the way he jumps etc. First time ive played any of them.
Would probably swap it for forza though.

Not to sure on that one having just bought GT6, there is so many cars and tracks its unreal. Ive come from forza and can honestly say I shouldve made the move sooner. Im sure gt7 will probably go the same way if turn10 implement this properly as I'm sure they will make a shit ton of money!
Im gonna wait out the next gen for a while nothing can tempt me away from awaiting Dark Souls 2 coming out in march and Destiny has just been announced for September

Properly annoyed. Just spent ages setting up netflix and my powerline adaptors to get it running through the xbox in the living room, only to find out you have to have a gold membership to use the app.
Do you have to pay to use the streaming apps on PS? It's pissed me off enough to ditch microsoft for good.

PSN (now SEN) is just an account and as such is free.
To my knowledge, the only thing locked behind the paywall of a paid PS+ membership is multiplayer gaming for all titles that run on the SEN servers. Some select titles will run on third party servers and be playable without PS+ membership.
