I've done all that, 50psi in, cycle the shock a few times, repeat until up to max pressure.
Would I not need more volume rather than less? I'm probably wrong but my road bike with skinny tires has 100psi in, but my mtb with big ass tires has 30ish psi in. If you get what I mean.

I'd add one band for the negative chamber and two to the positive and see how it feels as a starting point.

Bought this today.
Done this tonight.
Nothing impressive but it's a start. Ass cheeks hurt. Quite like riding so will do a run each night then hopefully get through to Glentress in a few weeks.

glentress is a lot fun. I'd recommend some padded knickers for riding in. Help a lot.

Anyone know anything about adventure bikes? Is it just a fancy new name for a Cyclocross bike so the Marketing guys can fob them off as something new. Quite like the idea of getting something to improve my fitness that can also cope with the gravel paths and lighter trails round my house and these seem the best option so any feedback would be appreciated.

Look awesome. Might get a black stem, although I do fancy the lemon and lime one to match the bars.

Possibly, I want something that will be suitable for the tarmac and a little bit gravel/dirt tracks but also something I could stick some panniers on as I've been looking in to doing the coast and castles later in the year.

As they're pretty cheap to buy new, I'd hazzard a guess at a couple of hundred if you're lucky.
