surely a lot is needed to drop an extra half a second off the time though?

Getting used to it will make a big difference,
From what I could see it was bogging down of the line,

It's all in the setup and it's getting there, it's certainly got the power to do it a 10.6 with a 2.1 60ft is good going,
If it gets back to 1.6 or less 60ft with the same run it'll easily be a 9.

5 tenths off your 60ft Is more than 5tentha off your time assuming you get a good run.

People reckon around 1.5-2 tenths for every tenth you drop on the 60ft.

as said i did a 2.1 60 ft on that 10.6 run , last year i was doing 1.6 and that was on the crapy f28 box i should be able to get 1.5 60fts, so that is nearly a 9 run there and plus the track was crap at the weekend , the car needs more power putting into 2nd gear so that should help a little plus i have traction control to set up too

Like the new 'sequential' gearbox your running lol!

Won't be long till your in the nines!

What was the track like Sunday?

i love them rumours , track wasn't that good but i didnt expect it to be as its the first big show so they dont need to prep it great as its just full of crap saxos and other 100bhp cars

Once you've got the launch dialed I'm sure you'll get in to the 9's. The launch on your quickest run was pretty bogged down as said, but expected considering it was the first time out with that box and things not being set up after the changes. Give it a few months until you're used to it again.

well went to pod 3 weeks ago on a rwyb day to try get some time to set the car up, got there weather was grear and was nice and quite , saw this there

got the car unloaded, and gear linkage was messed up , so we adjusted it there, got on the line did my burnout no prob, launched and it popped out of gear , into second hit the limiter and went to select 3rd but it went into first , back wheels lifted of the floor and it was game over, i rev mine to 8700 so recon it went to about 14000ish revs, we later found out that the pin holding the gear linkage in had come out halfway and that had caused it

the car had cut out on the strip and when i saw this i knew it had done some serious damage

so left pod at 11am

and the damage was

release bearing had also gone as when i hit 1st i put the clutch in to take it out of gear

killed the bearings too

while it was apart i decided to change to cable gearshift so had to change the casing on my gearbox

sent the head of to my mate and found damage to the valve seats so had 8 new ones fitted

parts box arrived of steve milton

head having some work

manifold was skimmed as it had warped over time

i then set about building the new bottom end up , to find that when i torqued the caps down it locked up the crank , dial gauge on it to find the crank was bent

i then got hold of a second hand good crank , stuck that in the block and that locked up so it had bent the block too

new block time

back from machine shop

and got it built up over last sunday

bent a few valves

head came back yesterday

and got that fitted today

and this is how she sits atm

im just waiting on getting my boost pipe back as ive had to have my blow of valve moved as it was hitting on the new gearbox turret but should be back tomorrow/sat then ill stick some miles on it again with some oil changes to bed it all back in before a quick dyno check to make sure the map dont need altering , started it before for 10 seconds with no problems so hopefully it will all get sorted before pv show

Well done on getting over another set back! You make the work look/sound so easy.

Massively deep pockets though

Not going PVS but would've like to see it in action thumbs:

He's probably that used to it by now he's not arsed.

Doesn't bother going unless he has £3k to fix it when he gets home.
