been having a few issues with the car lately. its basically been driving all over the place. have checked all suspension and nothing was wrong at all. changed the wheels back to the mo's today, didnt get round to getting them re-furbed, took it for a run and its spot on again. them 16's werent buckled, balanced up fine etc, just wondering if perhaps the tyres were out of shape on them.

new issue was a clunking noise. again the suspension showed up nothing. everything was fine. found out its the split shaft moving, well, the part that goes from the bracket on the block to the hub on the drivers wheel. its got a fair bit of play in it. move it and it clunks either direction. obviously thats with the car jacked up though so when the suspension is compressed it probably wont move as much. so it looks like i need another split shaft set up.

oh it did 152 miles to 32 litres of fuel. i think thats about 21-22mpg. aint that bad.

Went to SOS Motorsport for the corsa sport rolling road day today. Was a grand day out apart from the weather on the way home. Mike b made some good food. Stood about talking to people, ate a small bit of mental chilli, lost all sense in my mouth so cheers to whoever gave me that ya bastid! Drove corsa there and back, which was comfy. It did 447 on the rollers so quite happy with that really. I forgot to ask what the boost was but I think it's about 1.3-1.4 bar currently.

I always thought the car was over 500bhp hence why I asked on the other thread but as usual some people just made snide comments instead of expaining it to me. Still impressive stuff tho.

i didnt really see that as meaning much really. its a decent enough power figure for not really masses of boost. would probably do 2bar that turbo. one day i hope it will.

What size master have you got on that for the rear Nic? If 0.7 like the front id advise dropping the front size down to a 0.625 and have the rear as a 0.7 or bigger if you cant find a nice balance once adjustments have been made still.

They just look neater and are easier to work with. Wouldn't use copper though, you want to use a material called Cunifer
