yeah I imagined you would have steel rods, it would have been very rude not to fit them.
What about the gudgeon pins are they standard? I've never heard of them breaking but I don't know enough about highly tuned turbo engines.

they are the ones that came with the pistons so you'd imagine they can take the force.
bit gutted its pretty much back together. got nothing to do now until its mapped.

was stuck sort of. it got taken to bits, spring is that strong it flew the bolts out everywhere. it then seemed to free up, put back together and was working fine. not really sure what was up with it. seemed fine, just stuck.
will look a bit better once all the random vac pipes are tidied up etc. might take it up road for a little drive on friday. still needs mapped as its overfuelling a fair bit. gone from 750cc injectors to 1000's. its ticking over at about 500rpm so needs played about with but actually fired up from cold absolutely no problems.
fair happy indeed. been a long 4 months since it last started up. all for the sake of a turbo. should have just bought another cheap one.

the shaft snapped in it. just driving home from town, went to put foot down to overtake a slow car and had no boost. nevermind. cheap turbo.
hopefully get it mapped in a few weeks. fair busy at the moment he is. it needs taxed and mot'd in april so hopefully will be mapped by then. he has 3 maps to make for it, im just hoping it wont take that long to adjust the current 3.
