Why cant people tune their own cars? I didnt find it very hard on F2. I didnt really play about with camber settings but everything else I had a tinker, all you have to do is change one thing at a time and go for a lap and see how the car handles

danny that's basically how i've learnt over time...
but it's a steap learning curve and a lot have a impact on each other...
Camber is useful...
neg camber on the front = better turn in
neg camber on the rear = more stable (can corner faster without sliding off, but may cause understeer)...
bad side of neg camber is that it reduces contact area so reduces braking ability and potentially makes the car more likely to spin up the wheels / lose traction accelerating.

p.s. to know whether to add / take neg camber, have a look at the telemtry as you're driving about... it shows you your tyres live camber info....
when you're hard in the corner you want that tyre to have a lot of contact area, so adjust accordingly... it may be neg 3 degrees on the flat when static, but be perfect when in the bend.
My point is, he can do lap after lap adjusting one thing at a time and see what happens but it'd take him hours...
or someone who knows what to do can drive it, and adjust accordingly knowing simply what it needs and what to adjust... that gets it to a good base level then, and then they can do a few laps tweaking and checking telemtry and then finally finish it off.
Each tune i'd do would be aimed at one particular track, i'd do a lap at the start with the car standard and at the end after tuning and show results

Think i've done the best possible set up for a drag car now  Getting 21's in the mile, and very very late 8's, but mainly early 9's in the quarter.
Been doing that lately as been getting too wound up with people just nudging you off the track for them to get infront

Im still working my way around the damn thing. Its confusing as hell.
Auto tune up, wtf is that about? I want to select my cars mods, then I worked that out...
Still, things are meant to get easier.... Bring back simplez GT setup screen, simple, easy, without a billion menus to go through.
Am not toooo impressed by graphics either, not the advancement i'd hoped for.

Has anyone tried the x class yet? Its above R1 isnt it? Havent tried it myself as I dont know how you get to them but on the leaderboards there is an X class.
