That's even more than your obvious mistake
I agree entirely with JJ here. Moyes has the same sort of attributes as the great man himself. They don't want the revolving door scenario that seems to befit most big clubs these days. Moyes will command the respect from his players, and he knows how to get the best out of them too. He seems to integrate youth extremely well too which is obviously something Fergie picked up on.

Everton are in trouble now, Fellini and Baines will go too I'd imagine, and they'll be left without two star players, and with Mark Hughes in charge.
I'd say their next appointment is just as important as Uniteds. Obviously Fellaini and Baines are gone, but theres still a good core of players there, more than enough to sustain a mid table premier league finish. They need a solid appointment though, if its Hughes (or Nigel Clough as I've heard ) then they could be in a bit of trouble.
Clough? That's a weird one, but can see why, he's maintained a mid table position whilst drastically cutting the wage bill at Derby. He's not done as bad as it seems there
It would still represent a massive leap of faith, considering the changes there, he has zero premier league experience. It was just someone put it up on a forum i go on who claims to know, hes from round that area so its possible its true, cant find a bookie offering odds though
Definitely a leap of faith for them, but they have no money, so would probably have to employ someone out of a job or lower league, he's also fairly good at bringing through youth as Derby have no money to buy players (other than from Crewe then ruin their careers - James bailey looked quality in centre mid ) - the more I think about it, the more it could happen.
Phil Neville is another doing the rounds, but I think that's due to Keys being a mega-cunt and up his Arse.

1. Appoint someone with a proven track record, with weight in the game, with a real track record of being a winner (someone like Mourinho or a list of plenty of others)
2. Gone for someone up and coming like Moyes (doesn’t really feel that up and coming), Klopp, someone more obscure?
3. Appointed from within (either current or recent history) ala Pep at Barca (Giggs, OGS...)
Option 1 may have had a limited shelf life (any proven ‘big name’ is gonna come with an ego) but would probably have moved them on a level in Europe, whereas option 3 would probably have represented the biggest risk in that they’d probably be the least experienced (but they’d get the same level of personal consultancy from Ferguson that Moyes is gonna get), but you’d arguably get alot more time from the fans given the connection to the club. As is, they have appointed someone with neither a track record of winning, nor someone the fans will definitely take to. Moyes has got too many questions marks to make this appointment ‘sensible’ (has he developed any real emerging talent, has he shown he can do it in big games/europe, has he shown he commands respect from his players, has he signed any big name players?). Lots of those things are things that he’s not had control of, but not exclusively.
I think they should have had the courage to be bolder, but who knows how much money they have to spend etc.
He handled Rooney very well. Not just throwing him out there.
Rodwell, if he gets past his injuries, will be top class.
Coleman is becoming a very good RB at a young age.
Jagielka is one of the most consistent CB's in the league.
Baines came in for buttons and has become a top LB.
Fellaini is a great player. Took a while to settle but is still young!
I'd say he's done not too bad. Not forgetting that he's currently above massively high spending Liverpool when they've made constant profit from transfers for the past few years

Pereira new favourite with 365, interesting. I stuck £2.50 on MON @ 40/1 and Lennon @ 10/1.
Walter Smith is now 40/1

As long as Moyes doesn't sign expensive flops such as; Taibi, Veron, Djemba Djemba, Kleberson or Forlan then he'll do just fine.

The thing I think people are failing to realise, is Fergie would have had a massive say in the appointment; and he's admired the work of Moyes for fifteen years

Well it appears they are absolutely no better off than last season. A mega flop may not have happened as quickly as I said, but there is still time, lets see next season. They have been shockingly bad recently, and only a run of lucky last minute goals in a few key games they had no right to win have kept them just about on par with last year
And yes he has no charisma, like you.

Oh do fuck off, when united hit last minute winners in turgid games they have no right to win cunts like you say "Thats how champions do it, never giving up until the very end".
