BTW radio rules were definitely broken when telling Nico what mode to go on the gearbox.
Absolute joke. They won't take a penalty in Baku when Lewis has issue's but are happy to potentially take one when they are pretty much guaranteed 3rd with either a 5 or 10 second penalty.

I take it you don't read any media? Lewis said everything was fine between them.

Certainly is
I think the whole radio transmission is a joke
The fact they told him meant the racing could continue - I don't see it as a bad thing

That is a harsh penalty. The radio ban is an absolute farce.
Apparently it's going to get worse...
Anyway, Lewis now 1 point behind Nico This is going to be a fantastic fight for the championship.

Certainly spices it up at bit - going into a strong part of the season for Lewis based on previous years

What a weekend.
Really, really impressed with Silverstone and the Woodlands campsite. Still feel they need to bring ticket prices in line a bit (which tbf, would need help from Bernie...) as it wasn't a sellout.
Will get some pics up later, managed to worm my way within a few feet of the Merc pit wall after the race, so got some great shots of Lewis

What an absolute tragedy: starting behind the safety car at Silverstone
Rosberg looked poor initially on the wet track as he did in Monaco. Hamilton far superior in those conditions.
I still haven't figured out who it actually is that wants to see the drivers 'driving the car alone and unaided'. What a farse. Outrageous penalty for Nico.
This is where I believe they should be deducting constructors points rather than penalising a driver.
Look forward to see pics from Kyle.

Whys it a harsh penalty - The rule is the rule. IMO he should have been punished appropriate to the rule. Rosberg said himself if he did not get the radio transmission he would have had to stop - That means his punishment should have been DQ.
Its just going to be joke now as they have set a precedent. If someone knows they can make up the 10 seconds they will just break the rule.
Whether the rule is right or wrong is a completely different argument.

It's the rule itself that's a joke not the penalty applied
The penalty applied is right for the rule - it's the rule that's wrong

Agreed that rule is garbage, but now that we've seen the punishment is fairly lenient compared to a DSQ or >10sec of pace per race, we may see more of it.
Kimi and Lewis would have probably settled for a 10sec penalty at Baku if they knew what the punishment would be, for example.
Hopefully the rule goes.
I've not read anything confirmed yet, but I'm guessing Nico will need a new gearbox for Hungary? That would be one race too early, so a grid penalty?

It's harsh because that message shouldn't have been banned in the first place, therefore it shouldn't have happened. It's a ridiculous decision.

Managed to avoid finding anything out about the race and caught up with it this evening. Awesome race, so entertaining watching the drivers fight with the cars in those changing conditions.
Booing Nico is poor though, similarly with Hamilton in Austria. People need to grow up.

Ironically though, the potential reason there was noise over needing a radio ban was little Nico and his "When should I brake?" style radio messages that were clearly taking the piss...
He has now been given a penalty for the radio messages (seriously did anyone else not understand what his race engineer said?! Shift through it Nico you plum )
I agree they shouldn't have the restriction, but of all people to get a penalty then I think it was weirdly justified
Silverstone was great in Friday, all my pics and shite so I won't post them. Can't believe how loud the cars are, just don't get a sense of it on TV... Also gearbox noise! No wonder they keep needing new ones, changes sound like they have no clutch and no fluid in them either
Also Kimi for 2017
(Also now 3rd in the WDC)

Yes, agree the booing of Nico was the low point of the weekend. Fantastic race, loved all the battles and the fact pretty much every driver did a 360 into turn one
