It was the woman at the start, she made it possible they did briefly explain it.

I saw that bit but I don't think I was paying enough attention by the sound of it

Was all a bit Terminator for my liking though with limbs growing back and walking out of fire and stuff.

I didn't like that it would appear to be the last Iron Man going off the ending

The Impossible

It took me a while before I realise it was the Thailand tsunami, and not the Japan one... as I doubt they would have survived the Japan on being so close to the bench.

Anyway, after realising that... I thought the film was very moving, particularly towards the end. I think the actual tsunami scene could have been a bit longer, but overall, a decent watch!

7/10

I give it a year - 8/10

bit of a chick flick, made so much better by Stephen Merchant being casted:

Recommended if you want to win some brownie points and have a good laugh.

The notebook

Loved it till the very end bit then it was ruined for me (wont spoil it) AS IF!!!

The Lucky One

Written by the same guy. Pretty average but Zac Efron has grown into a mighty fine specimen!!
Quite predictable too

platoon 9/10, amazing film so many people in it that went on to be big stars.

the last stand 4/10 , boring film building up to the war at the end which was also rubbish

Yeah, It's awesome, as a fan of the original films I felt some of the scenes a tad predictable though

Will be giving it a second watch at the cinema

AND

The big retard appears to be invincible. I want to see a sequel where he takes on the personal trainers from Sports Day. That'd learn him.

30 days of night.

Good, but only slightly more cheerful than 'This is England', 'Hurt Locker' and 'Harry Brown' combined.

Pretty morbidly gory too, but then I spotted that it was something to do with Sam Raimi in the end credits and thought ''ahh, that's why''.
