Fee of around £5m being talked about so I'd think (hope) it's a perm deal.

Sunderland after Samaras for £3million and Maloney going to have a Medical (lol) at Wigan ahead of a £2 million move.
Supposedly after Diawara from Maritimo and Bangura from AIK as replacements. Mon the African's.

I see the Sochaux chairman looks more open to Maiga leaving. He's gone from saying he's not leaving and reporting us to they've had a bid and he can leave if they get a replacement

Santon, Maiga and Elliot. Don't really know why we're messing about with keepers at this stage mind.

Both Santos and Mertesacker links on BBC so suggests its not just web rumour.
If we get those 2 and a decent MD and striker Wenger can keep his job.

good signings but i have a feeling it may be a case of the damage has been done already and the players will lose so much confidence.
saw it at west ham last year, good team, have a bad start and all goes tits up.

No no no. Mertesacker is a decnet player but IMO, theres a reason why hes still at a small-ish German club. Cahill has prem experience which is key. Same goes for Baines, and IMO theyd both bring some english steel to the backline. Santos is not a very good player and definately not the kind of player we should be after.
As for chews dog meat, i fully expect him to get booed off the pitch if we end up signing him. pathetic signing if it goes through, one of the worst wenger will have ever made

dont get me wrong, its not his fault of course but its truly a terrible sign from wenger. i cant even give wenegr the benefoit of thje doubt because bar Vermaelen perhaps, he hasnt signed a single unknown in years whos turned out to be a world beater, those days are long gone imo

Had you even heard of Santos before we got linked dude or is this like Jadson again?? Again, theres a reaosn he's 28 and played for Corinthians and Fenerbache! Brazil are hardly blessed with great LBs yet he'sonly got 20 caps and most of those come form confeds cup and copa america! THe LB situation is ajoke, clichy left 2 months agoi leavign gibbs (who i think is a decent youngster and has agreat future BUT is unreliable as hes always bloody injured - missed 3 of 5 games so far this season iirc!) and TRAORE as LB cover (vermaelen and sagna arent really suitable covers as theyve gfot their own jobs to do) and yet wenger is leavign it until 2 days before the woindopw closes to decide to address it.
he genuinely has lost the plot, im sorry to say

He's alot better than what we have currently got.
Traore has sealed his deal to QPR.
Santos must be coming in.

Robbo, Santos is Brazil's first choice left back and Mertesacker has 75 caps for Germany and is only 26
Werder Bremen are also not a small German club

Barcelona were linked with Santos last season and were reportedly preparing a £10m bid for him this summer.
