will have to look into all that.

think the mods i may do to it to begin with are...

egr removal pipe
de cat down pipe
k+n filter
new back box (power flow as its cheap from work)
remap
towbar

then investigate suspension if i want to alter it. as its really nice and smooth as it is.

Its an oil breather which costs circa £50 should be done periodically as a preventiative measure preventing oil starvation to the turbo.

There are two different types - "bog roll" and vortex. First one is ~20, vortex is ~50 and supposed to be for life as it work some how different.

isnt it just that one is a servicable item and one is a sealed unit?

Fook that's gone a bit rusty . If they are the same spring I gave you then I think that are 3" longer than normal GAZ springs.

They should've been a good poundage anyway, but that's all down to whether Dave A got it right or not, but they are defo longer than normal ones to compensate for the extra drop from using adjustable top mounts.

sorry that wasnt really aimed at you barnes, that was when lee was trying to argue that ollies coilover piston snapped because it was cheap and that type of thing would never happen on a gaz

forgot to add that the power flex exhaust bush is also now fitted so the back box won't randomly fall off the hanger now as that was getting annoying.

hopefully get it back on the dyno next week.

Quick calculation seem to be averaging 39mpg work and back in the bm. Ain't bad considering ive kicked the shit out of it a lot as well. Got 475 miles to 57 litres. Think that's 39mpg? Quite happy with that as the 1.2 was doing around 320 miles to 45 litres work and back and town driving!

Love the BMW, be interesting to see what power it makes after the map. Would like one if they weren't holding their value so well.

What's it like to drive Nic?

its spot on. really comfortable, quiet for a diesel. handles pretty well chucking it about the place as well. i managed 471 miles to 57 litres and I've been kicking it about the place for that also. really looking forward to feeling the difference once mapped tomorrow. currently driving it more sensible, done 90 miles with 413 left on the range it says. think thats about 40mpg which isn't bad for short journeys and town driving.

looks like the corsa is maybe getting mapped tomorrow as well so that will be a good day of fun driving no doubts.

Looks like my weekend plans are off now thanks to fuckin morons panic buying all the fuel. Shell round here has no 99 and I think tesco will be out today as well. Fuckin utter wankers and this media hype bullshit. So that's no mapping tonight and no drag racing this weekend. Ruined my weekend that.

Had the 330d flashed by autotuninguk at lunchtime. Cliche saying but it does feel like a different car to drive. Loads more power low down and where it used to feel sluggish up the revs now pulls like fuck. Top notch stuff for the reflashing.
