Stark Trek Into Darkness : 8/10 decent. Although the nerd sat in front was annoying, especially when McCoy said "damn it jim I'm a doctor not a...." And she shrilled and started tapping her feet on the floor. Weirdo.

Total Recall (2012) - 7/10

Visually the film reminded me of Blade Runner, and after I got over the fact there was no trip to Mars it was fairly enjoyable. Dragged on a little bit however and the story didn't need to be as complicated. Not a bad remake.

new total recall 2/10.

what the absolute fuck? i was expecting a carbon copy of the original. the action scenes are decent, but the storyline is all over the place.

NARC - 5/10. Slow-ish storyline with not much action. Only reason i never switched off was to see what the ending would be like and who done it.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - 9.5/10 - Watched again, awesome as always. Most unlikely pairing but Kilmer and RDJ both play their characters superbly.

Wonder Boys - 8.5/10 - Might not appeal to everyone but i think it's a great watch and easily one of Douglas' best films.

It only really has hints and bits of the original film and storyline and not the good bit either. I found if you took it as a new film rather than a remake then it's ok; as you say, action scenes and the CGI isn't too bad.

Proper cheesey acting with light hearted jokes, with a spice of nice cars and good driving scenes! Exactly what you want from this type of film.

One of the best lines is when Harry says "still gay?" and Perry comes back with "No, i'm knee deep in pussy. I just like the name so much, i can't get rid of it"

Red Dawn - 8/10

Really good film actually, got Thor as the lead. North Korea invade america, people fight back. Only an hour and a half as well, so doesn't get messed up with rambling storylines. Explains what's needed and then you get action

Swordfish - 6/10

Remembered it as being worse than it actually is. Good bit of light entertainment.
Opening monologue is pretty cool. Almost Tarantino-ish.
Watch it if you don't require your films to make too much sense.

Crazy, Stupid, Love - 8/10

My wife got to pick a film and surprisingly chose a romcom...
Even more surprising was it that it's actually a fairly good film. Really entertaining and with some good laughs.
Watch it if you want to please your significant other without getting bored to death.

Expendables 2 - 6/10

A two hour firefight with some light humor. Seemed to rely much more on the gimmick factor than the original, which is a shame.
We know having Arnold, Stallone, Willis and Norris on the screen at the same time is awesome, there's no need to beat us over the head with it.
Watch if you like reminiscing about 90's action flicks and want to watch 300 people die in two hours.

total remake is massively flawed.

if any man woke up and Kate Beckinsale was his wife, and he worked out she wasnt, he'd keep his fucking mouth SHUT!
