Get something you can afford, you well only regret it in a years time when the car has depriceated by 3 grand!!
Soz to sound negative, but thats my opinion!!

I have already thought this through,....... and as i said at the start....

..... i can afford it if i wanted!

So your lookin at over £200 a month just for the insurance and what? Say £200 for the finance/loan? How much do you get a month?

Petrol/Tax/MOT's/Parts/Mods/Service's/Tyres They all add up mate..

well actually i figured £190 per month on the loan, and £190 insurance, so thats £380, plus i will be using £120ish a month petrol, thats £500

my disposable income per month is around a grand, so its really not that big a deal..... is it??

My wages just get wasted on crap, so the way I look at it is if i had repayments to keep up at least i would have something to show for it!!!

agreed, when I got my corsa, the marked price was £3500, but they dropped it to £2800, saying I gave them a £700 deposit (the dealership), yet the finance is about £4800!!!! Will be paid off in full though after this christmas

How old are you?

Im 22 and im paying 1200 for my ITR.. (grp18)

I told myself i'd never pay over 1k, but its worth the extra couple hundred.

Try Tescos and get a quote on a Jap car, they are very good with Jap stuff.

at 20 I was paying £787 on a Prelude 2.2 Vtec (group 17)

Ditch sort it out m8!

im sure u could quite easily afford it if you did just 2 things...

1.) stop drinkin (lol is there any point in sayin number 2 now?)

2.) stop smokin fags and green etc etc

ud save a lot of money! but i dont blame u if u give up now m8, as i couldnt give up me drink

m8 i know this sounds gay as u want this seat asap, but you should keep ur festa for at least another year (ur only 18 right? ) and by then u may not want the old seat but sumic else etc etc ur insurance aint gonna get cheap until ur 21 so your gonna av to wait or win the lottery

thats life m8!

No way... Especially when you could buy a better car and do what Nismo's done at 19... Wouldn't pay £2500 on a Cupra R... nice cars but no way worth it...

what are you driving atm?

Perhaps you should think about taking it in stages - so go up to something a bit faster, then something even faster after that...

that way your not stuck with the same car for several years, I know when people say 'well wait a year or 2 till you can afford it' but 2 years is quite a long time and thinking 'I'm stuck with this car for another 2 years can feel shit' - hence why I think maybe get something a bit faster now, i.e. everyone's usual step up - to Pug 106 GTi or Punto, or just drop a 2.0 16v in the corsa..

still gonna be £££ but nothing even close to the Cupra

Then it could be, this year corsa, next year pug 106 gti, then the year after cupra ... so you've basically not been stuck with the same car - but will now be old enough and have enough NCB to do it.
