Using newest unmodified cars:
Skyline _ 1540kg with 276bhp (6 cylinder 2.5L turbo)
Evo _ 1400kg with 269bhp (4 cylinder 2L turbo)
Both AWD, but with the lighter weight the Evo will be better for handling and maybe speed.

Dunno, Parkers doesn't list them
Would much prefer a Skyline though...

Personally Id choose the Evo - without a doubt. The evo has the fun facter - you can take it anywhere and have great fun in it.
My mate had a Skyline, though it was brilliant but soon got bored as it was too powerful for Britains roads and lost interest.
Skylines may be more "impressive" but you'll find all the clubmen prefer the Evo.

skyline better than the evo in every department, who ever likes evo's over a skyline has no taste.

Thing is you have to take all those Jap homologation Specials Quoted figs with a pinch of salt.
They have to quote the power as being under 280 BHP as the Jap car manufaturers have a gentlemens agreement not to exceed it. The skyline in reality produces over 300 Bhp as standard.
Also are,t you forgetting that before the advent of the Radical Turbo, that the Skyline was the fastest production car ever to lap the 'RING.
EVO's are amazing machines, but for me the skyline is in a class above.
