k peeps...im looking for a good pc overhaul lol
hoe much would a decent processer ba, how can i check if it would fit in my pc, is it plug and play or is it a big job

well processors are fairly cheap these days, the 2600 XP+ chips from AMD are only about £60
but you need to get a motherboard that will support it and then you'll probably need ddr ram and a new gfx card.
I looked up my motherboard and found it was only up to 1.4 Ghz ... yours may be different. If it says it can support a 2600 XP+ chip or something just plug it in.
otherwise you'll need a new mobo.

I wouldn't get a Gforce 4 Mx 64mb - no offence mate, but they're shit 
the 'Mx' series were the budget versions
and 64 mb on a graphics card isn't brilliant anymore - I've got a Geforce GTS 2 32mb and its basically rubbish compared to today!
You want a gfx card with 128mb or preferably 256mb!
if you get a decent gfx card then your pc will fly with games.
if I had £300
I'd probably buy a Radeon 9600 128mb Pro (£122) graphics card
A K7N2 Delta ILSR athlon motherboard (£86)
and a Athlon XP2800+ (£100)
and 512mb ddr PC2100 ram (£45)
Prices may vary... £345 not a bad system...
please note this is just picking random things + you could probably get better, but not a bad budget system.

those exact models will all fit each other... i.e. the chip will go on the motherboard + so will the ram.

ive had the game for a few days on the pc
its good
its a big game tho ! be playing it for a while ...i havent unlocked even half the sh*t and ive bein playing it for about 10hours!
it gets v.frustrating when u fuck up then they overtake and win and u need to start all over again ,,its a v.fast game and with ur gfx topped rite up it gets harder but looks great !

this is my current car - its a bit crap...
The game's quite good - but would be so much better if it ran faster on my PC + I had my Ps2 controller converter thing now!
There was this one cool section where you were like going through a back alley way up hill for ages - it was so narrow and if you made the slight wrong move your car would hit the walls - but it wasn't even ground and the cars bumping all over the place at 120 mph +... will be well good with force feedback on my ps2 controller.
Anyone know if its possible to do replays? would be cool to watch a TV style replay of some of the races...
Anyway, Dan, how do you get it to play online? it said about downloading a patch? but if you download that does it mess up the no cd crack thing - or still work fine?
I thought the patch might be a fake trojan style thing since the games not out yet, the devs are purposely infecting people who are currently playing it ilegally... but I doubt it.

ive been playing the game for a good few house now and i think it is pretty good! graphics are sweet and the game is gettin faster! startin to masted drifting and the shifts etc. heres my ride:
should be even better when i get my PS2 adapter

Not True at all, most cases are designed so that air is drawn in and around components, whereas this effect will not work properly with jsut a case off.

No i mean a proper replay, like in GT3, you race then get a tv style replay (where it takes the view from a fixed point somewhere on the track and pans as you fly by)
I'm having trouble with that ps2 converter thing - first it didn't like my modem and kept making me lose connection... then it seemed like it needed calibrating but I saw no option to?
so when I start a game it constantly tries to press up! and its impossible to navigate the menus.
