steve, once the corsa has shed a few pounds, and is in derestricted form, it would waste a standard pug, and yours probably too. Such a shame that vauxhall had to choke the unit to death. Arseholes.

That is what i am saying, I have a graph that velos gave me Wolf in Welsh Clothings 1.6

It had the full inlet system (not the torque tube)
and i believe a unichip then (this was later swaped to dta for higher revs i think)
it recorded 147BHP at 7000RPM and the power had not started to fall off.

as damo has said this engine was designed with far more power but then restricred for the road and emissions.

speak to Miles about this, he has a C16XE in a Nova running a good amount of power.

He can usually be found lurking in the help zone!

1.6 16v, throttle bodies, about 170bhp

14.052 1/4 mile or something like that. Faster than Pug/Saxo 1600 16v engines with throttle bodies

mi 16 was indeed a very good engine and has been around for a long time. I may be wrong but i think it was 155bhp.

Agreed, can be done.

Donnas car RR 1 = 109bhp - Remus Exhaust
Dons Car RR 2 (Mantzel) = 114bhp, Ind kit, Cat back exhaust
Dons car RR 3 = 161bhp, 4-2-1 manifold, cat back exhaust, ind kit, Superchip, mantzel box and lower inlet.

More than 35bhp there

Well theres only a manifold and cat back exhuast (with centre box) extra there

A manifold is only claimed to make around 3-5bhp, so we'll knock that off then.

156bhp 114 to 156 = 42

Taking the original reading from the rollers was 114bhp. OK, so we'll deduct another 5bhp then gained from the induction kit and zorst.

Still over 35bhp
