catch the front of mine on speedbumps and then the middlebox of the exhaust.

The really short humps are the worst. The pyramid ones arent too bad if you run one side over the hump and the other through the gap.

my monzas are et49 with 195/45/15.

Just get a gsi spoiler. Go to a scrapyard and see if there are any.

You can buy copies but they dont sit right.

Slighty off topic, but anyone else down 60mm find that front mudgaurds are a apin in the ass!!
I'm 60mm on 16's and my front mudgaurds catch on everything... kerbs, speedbumps, ramps...

Pain in the ass like

Car looks cheap without them, like a basic model. And they keep some of the grit/dirt off the car at this time of year.

On wheels with 205 width tyres the best offset is ET45 because then you dont end up with the wheel hitting the dampers. Yet the ideal offset is ET49, but thats on wheels where the width isn't going to be an issue.

there 6.5 " wide and are 195/50 tyres

With ET38, does that mean that the wheels are more out towards the arch as opposed towards the dampers ??? Am i right ???

Yes, the offset is how much they stick out, the lower the number the further they stick out. If you go for Et38 you are just causing problems, debolting will be a must and maybe hammering out the metal arch will be needed, and if you are carrying a bit of a load you are going to get no end of problems too.

I would recommend you dont go lower than ET40 but its up to you, the deal is there I know but is it worth the hassle??
