it does if you try but compared to the corsa its on spikes lol, hardly drive it now, and to think i used to think it was quick hahahahaha ran a 16.7@82mph , handles goo though

I havnt been beaten by a 106 gti and I've raced a couple, one bein slightly modded.

2lt corsa's should run sub 15's no problem... takes a bit of work to get a gti into this

corsa should eat a pug 106 GTi on a straight altho keeping the power down on the 2ltr is sumwhat a joke

pugs handling tho is far superior but i reckon the corsa would rip one apart due to being a more torqey engine and better top end pull too. Altho standing quarters would be close(ish)

Yes it is. Slapping on a set of coilovers still won't make the Corsa a decent handling car The 106 is the best handling car I've ever driven, perfect balance and a testiment to french hatches

If the suspension is setup well for the corsa the handling isn't going to be massively different, as standard striaght line the 1/4 will be close but a second difference with the corsa winning.

Handling wise, take it down some country roads the GTI will have the handling advantage but when the corsa gets its power down where it can it will pull the difference back.

ive also got a lowered vtr which is the same as 106 and it isnt a million times better, it is better but not as much as use think, corsa has koni adjustables

just for the record (with no relevance to anything here) the saxo is 4 inchs longer than the 106, in VTS/GTi forms

i do not know, but there is far less room in the pugs engine bay compared to the saxons

same suspension setup slightly different chassis layout, doubt if it makes any diff in the handling between the two tho

front and rear ends are interchangeable with little mods,roof the same windows"except rear screen",doors the same
